Alright so my question is pretty simple...

How do you conceal your dog when hunting, or how have you seen other hunters conceal their dogs?

Dog blinds are getting really expensive and they are really small for my 100 lb. Chessie. Don't get me wrong he'll fit into anything to go goose hunting. I'm looking for some suggestions from seasoned veterans.

I use an Avery blind, it's a squeze but my dog fits, gives her a place out of the mud and a "kennel" to help control her.

My YLF who is 107 lbs just sits in the field by the layout blinds. I have yet to have birds spook away from her. I just tell her to sit and she does. Most of the time she will just lay down. Its kinda nice being able to see her. That way you know where the birds are when you can see them. She watches them the whole time.

When in a grain or corn field its perfect. I hunted a winter wheat field last weekend and it went good with a big yellow dog sitting out there.

My BLM and BLF fay at the head of my lay out and have never caused me an issue.

The rig'em right blind is a little pricey but roomy and super tough.  Has a higher profile but once its brushed my dog disappears, the birds never see us.  It also block's the wind and keeps him off the ground which really helps out late season.

I use the GHG field blind and love it. It not only conceals my dog but helps him to hold. Even when he holds he can get excited and move around which could flare ducks. I take it everywhere we hunt and it's very easy to tote around. I even use it every time we train with him.

Usually the birds don't seem to notice the dog.

I use the HC dog blind.  Light-weight, easy set-up, and you can get it dirt cheap when its on sale.  My FBL is not large (62 lb) but fairly tall and she has tons of room in this blind.  She can spin in circles inside the blind.  Good blind for the money and birds tend not to mind it at all.

How cheap and where do you get one?

I was looking at the HC too, but didn't want to buy it til I was sure the dog would fit. I found it online at Bass Pro but it is about $120 there, the link below has it for $65.

This will be the first year I'll be taking out a dog of my own in the field, but I'll  be using a dog blind for sure. I'm all about blending in to my surroundings and a dog blind will suit my needs for sure. Yeah it's gonna be an expensive investment but I'll be going quality so it lasts.
